The Message of the Old Testament

This course is a general overview of Genesis through Malachi with an emphasis on seeing the historical, theological, practical, and Christological message of each book.

The Message of the New Testament

This course is a general overview of Matthew through Revelation with an emphasis on seeing the historical, theological, practical, and Christological message of each book.

History of the Old Testament

This course is a study of the political, religious, and social milieu in which the events of the Bible took place. Special attention will be devoted to those civilizations and historical events that had a bearing upon Scripture. Biblical books and significant dates of biblical events will be set in the historical context.

Ministry According to Acts

This course is a study of “Acts”, highlighting certain people and events that demonstrate Christ’s mission and message for the Church in both the 1st and 21st century world.

The Pastoral Letters

This course is a verse-by-verse study of Paul’s New Testament Pastoral Letters: 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus.

Spiritual Formation

This course is an exposition of significant passages of Scripture of the cultivation of the Christian life, noting those factors that will inhibit and those factors that will advance spirituality and maturity.

Bible Study Method: Level 1

This course teaches students how to see, understand, and apply the message and meaning of Scripture through a practical method of personal Bible study.

Bible Study Method: Level 2

This course builds on Bible Study Method: Level 1. Students will further learn how to use and apply Bible study tools and resources in their study of Scripture.

Expositional Preaching: Level 1

This course trains students to preach expository sermons and teach through books of the Bible chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse.

Expositional Preaching: Level 2

This course builds on Expositional Preaching: Level 1. Students will further learn how to preach expository sermons and teach through books of the Bible chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse.

Issues in Theology and Apologetics

This course addresses the current Theological issues in the church, such as the inerrancy of the Bible, “Calvinism” versus “Arminianism”, “Continuationism” verses “Cessationism”, and the Rapture of the Church. Current issues in Apologetics will also be discussed, such as the resurrection of Christ, miracles, New Atheism, Islam, and other world religions.

Issues in Leadership and Church Matters (Lessons from 1 and 2 Corinthians)

This course is a study of 1 and 2 Corinthians, seeing practical lessons on being an effective spiritual leader and dealing with church matters, such as schisms, church discipline, divorce and remarriage, women in ministry, and spiritual gifts in the worship service.

The Pastor’s Ministry

This class will discuss the Pastor’s ministry, including discipleship and evangelism, communion and water baptism, weddings and funerals – Pastoral care, including pre-marital & marital counseling, comforting the bereaved, and home and hospital visitations.

Missions

This course teaches the reason for missions and the Christian’s role in missions. The aim is to help students know and understand their mission in the world in view of “The Great Commission” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Missions Emphasis Week: Calvary Chapel Missions Conference

This is the annual one-week Calvary Chapel Missions Conference for missionaries and pastors that happen at the Calvary Chapel Conference Center in Murrieta, CA.

Biblical Counseling Emphasis Week

This 1-week immersion course teaches students to counsel people in their times of confusion and crisis with God’s word and God’s heart, to tend and teach them with grace and truth.

New Testament Greek Emphasis Week

This 1-week immersion course is a practical and basic introduction to New Testament Greek.

Church-Planting Emphasis Week

This 1-week immersion course teaches students the why and how of planting and pastoring churches.

Read and Discuss

During each term, students will read an assigned book, and then meet together once a week with Pastor John Hwang to discuss that week’s assigned reading.

Open Forum

This course is a Question/Answer/Discussion time with pastors Brian Brodersen and Richard Cimino.

Insight and Interaction

Students and CCCM pastors discuss the different ministries that happen in church, such as pastoral care, worship ministry, children’s ministry, youth ministry, community-life, missions, and administration.

Ministry Talk

This course is a Question/Answer/Discussion time with Pastor Will Lynn.

Ministry Practicum

Students have the opportunity to serve hands-on in different ministries at CCCM.

Church Services

Students will participate in all Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening worship services at CCCM.
